rainy season. Although brief spells of showers occurs in Langkawi all
the year round, rainy season in its truest sense occurs in the months
of August and September .Langkawi receives an annual rainfall of about
2,500 millimeters. Rainfall are generally accompanied by thunder and
lightning. Heavy downpours generally last for an hour or two. Though
the Europeans prefer to visit the landing the summers, the Arabs prefer
to be on the island in the wet period. During this time the island
remains quieter.

November to March. October is a nice place to visit the island. The sea
